Rainbow Beach is located on the East Coast of Australia. Within an easy 10 minute barge ride to the world heritage listed Fraser Island, it is like visiting two spectacular destinations at once! Rainbow Beach is located just 2 1/2 hours north of Brisbane, Queenslands capital city. With 2 airports just over an hour away, Maroochydore/Sunshine Coast Airport and Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast Airport and 3 Greyhound Buses arriving daily, it is easily accessed by all.

If travelling by car from the south travel directly to Gympie and turn at the Rainbow Beach turnoff on the southern end of Gympie. Please ignore 'sat nav' instructions to turn at Pomona as this is for 4WD travel only. If travelling from the north the quickest way is to turn off at Maryborough and follow the signs to Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach, a scenic drive through State Forests!
