The famous coloured sands are an easy walk along the beach in a southerly direction from the resort.
Boasting over 70 different shades and many unique to our area this really is something special to see while you are in our local area. |

Carlo Sand blow is definitely a must see location while in Rainbow Beach.
It is a 20 minute walk from the resort or 3 minute drive to the designated car park and then an easy 10 minute walk to the amazing sand blow. |

Lake Poona: This stunning tea tree stained freshwater lake can be accessed via vehicle (4WD recommended) to the designated carpark at Bymien Picnic Area, it is then a 2.2km walk (each way) through some of our local rainforest and national park.
For the keen bushwalker, a 10km walk (each way) from Rainbow Beach through the Cooloola national park. Take your swimmers and cool off in the freshwater when you get there. |

Searys Creek is a very refreshing tea tree stained crystal clear stream approximately 8kms drive from Rainbow Beach along Rainbow Beach Road. Park in the designated car park and walk down the 100m timber boardwalk to the waters edge.
Take your swimmers for a very refreshing dip, this is a great place to visit on a hot summers day! |
